So my last two days have been different from the others. Most of Utah schools take a “Fall Recess” on the same two days….yesterday and today. This RV park is running over with families and I took the shuttle around Zion National Park Canyon today and the canyon was full of families.
It was over 80 degrees and sunny here today.
Right at the entrance to Zion is a very small town of Springdale. It is a two lane highway with about three miles of private homes, motels, lodges, restaurants, gift shops, etc. There are no chain restaurants. I am sure that 99 percent of the people who live there serve the tourists in town or work in the park. I will say that customer service is definately missing here.
So I think I have found my new career. I am going to become a kinetic artist. As some of you know I love the metal yard spinner art…see photos below:
When I drove thru Springdale I saw different versions of these displayed at three different businesses. They were all stunning. The first thing you should know is that all three businesses were labeled galleries. I stopped and looked at the price tags and the first one I looked at was $7,500.00…the smallest, cheapest one was $1,250.00….so if I start this new career are you all in to buy a piece of “art”??? Hahahahahaha
Leaving here in the morning for Bryce Canyon.
