Left Grayton Beach State Park at noon today. Drove less than 30 miles to St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach, FL. Cool again today and pretty strong winds. At least the sun was out most of the day.
Checked into the park at check in time at 3:00pm. I love the site I have here. It is on the Grand Lagoon.
Just before 5:00pm I was leaving to find a laundry to do a couple of loads of laundry and was just getting ready to pull out of my space when I looked in the side mirror and saw this deer 6 feet from my trailer.
This campground is full also. I see a lot more families at this park. That might have something to do with the fact that it is President’s Day on Monday and some people have the day off and/or kids are out of school.
So over the past several days I have either stayed in or visited the following areas that are within 2 hours of each other.
Gulf Shores, AL
Pensacola, FL
Destin, FL
Panama City Beach, FL
From what I have seen….Gulf Shores seems pretty family oriented….a lot of house rentals right on the beach. Destin, FL seemed more commercial and more upscale. Panama City Beach, FL is very commercial with a lot of activity. Feels kind of like Branson on the beach. A lot of activities for kids.
Isn’t panama the name of the city in “hunger games”?
