Literally across the highway from the state park is Brookgreen Gardens. They call it an outdoor museum. It is primarily a sculpture garden. They also have a lowcountry area and a small zoo area.
It was not as warm today…maybe 60. Here are a few photos from Brookgreen…
I saw the following sign a couple of times and I think if you have a problem with people walking across your yard or parking in your space, this might be a way to discourage them…
Later in the afternoon I drove up to “Broadway at the Beach”. It is a shopping, dining and entertainment area. When I was here in 2004 with most of my family, we visited the area. Wow, the area is now 3 or 4 times the size. It has 100 stores (most are not chain stores, they are unique, funky stores) 23 places to eat, 3 hotels, a movie theatre, water park, aquarium, mini-golf and on and on.
On the way back to the campground I stopped at the grocery store to get something for dinner. When travelling I like to check out all the different grocery stores to see the differences. Today it was Kroger.
The pictures just keep getting better.
Thanks Violet
