#113 – Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013–River Valley Egg Rally–Day 3

Today was Egg Parade Day.  Those of us in Campground A were to open our trailers for tours from 9 – 11 am.  I believe there are about 9 of us on this side.  I had about a dozen people stop by.  I went thru a Bigfoot and a Casita on my side.

I went into town for lunch.  Yesterday I drove by a place that caught my eye so I decided to go there for lunch.

It is an old style diner that has been in business since 1934.  They had a pretty varied menu.  They have indoor tables and a lunch counter.  They have tables outside and they also offer car service in the stalls in front of the building.  If you park there and want service, you flash your lights or you call and place your order.

I tried the “famous” french dip sandwich.  It was pretty good.

I went back out to the campground for the open house on the other side from 1 – 3pm.  I went into another Casita. a Lil Snoozy, a 13 foot Casita and the 1970 Campster.  It was very interesting to go thru the different types.  I am happy to say that I still believe I made the right choice for me with the EggCamper.

At 3:00pm they had ice cream.  I spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the beautiful day at my site.  At 6:00pm I went back for the hot dog dinner.  At 7:00 I came back to the trailer.

I am pulling out tomorrow morning.
