This morning I took the shuttle over to the casino about 10:00am to find the shuttle that goes to Mall of America. They have quite a bus system here. They have buses bringing people in from all over the city. The first bus did not go until noon.
I looked around the casino and hotel and then put $10 in a slot machine. I am not much of a gambler so if I don’t win very quickly or get some entertainment out of the machine I move on. I tried a few machines with no luck. I finally saw a large Monopoly machine that looked interesting. I sat down and had some luck and enjoyed the various bonus rounds. I decided to quit when I was at $18.00. I wandered around some more and tried “pull-tabs”. I had never seen them in a casino before. Basically they are a different version of a scratch off lottery ticket. Then I decided to have some lunch. So after the pull tabs and lunch I had $9.00 left. So pretty good…entertainment and lunch for $1.00.
So we all know that one thing you see a lot of on vacations is public restrooms. Yesterday I saw a couple of different things. I stopped at a state rest stop along I-35 and went into the women’s restroom. It was very, very clean but the odd thing was how short the stall dividers and doors were. I am 5 ft 4 and the stalls and doors were only as tall as my chin. Then I visited another one somewhere along the way and they had a wet wipe dispenser in the stall labeled for use in cleaning the seat. This morning I visited the ladies room at the casino and saw the following cool thing….I think I need to get out more!
I went outside to wait for the MOA Express bus. I saw the following flowers….if you look closely you will see they are a bunch of individual pots on some kind of iron support.
The drive to Mall of America took 30 minutes. Below are a few of the things I saw today:
I thought of Kevin when I saw the “Slurp & Snack” place.
I decided on a snack….I had a cinnamon crepe with cinnamon butter and whipped cream.
I took the 5:00pm bus back to the casino. I wanted to try one of the slot machines I noticed earlier. It was a big yahtzee machine. I put in $10 and it was pretty entertaining. I played for quite a while. I cashed out with $50 and stopped and picked up a deli sandwich for dinner and a blueberry muffin for breakfast in the morning. So I started with $10 and ended up with dinner and breakfast and $40 in cash. Winner, winner chicken dinner.
I took the shuttle back to the RV park. It is lovely weather here tonight. The park is practically deserted compared to last night.
Unfortunately I am moving on tomorrow and the forecast for my next stop is a “high” for the day of 48. What!
