Saturday, August 18, 2018 – Last Day and Trailer Open House

So…the merchandise…..people had been eagerly awaiting the merchandise that would be available reflecting the event.   Well…they hired a professional marketing firm for the merchandise and in my opinion they missed the mark by a mile.  The people that own these classic Boler trailers are fun, creative, inventive, common people that have spent a little money and do a lot of renovation and repair to have a way to camp and enjoy the outdoors.  Most don’t have bathrooms in the trailers, many don’t have refrigerators, etc, etc.    The merchandise was not “fun” and it was way overpriced.

The two hoodie styles were $65 each.  The two baseball style tees were $45 each.  The four short sleeved tee shirts were $40 each.  The mug $25, tea towel $15, cushion cover $20, can koozie $10, decals $5 each or three for $10.

We all know how many people want to own a Boler (or any moulded fibreglass trailer). Today we open the park to the public for the day, from 10:00 am – 11:00 pm,  Owner of the trailers can offer the public a chance to view their trailer from 10;00 am to 3;00 pm. If the trailer door is open you are welcoming visitors to come take a look, if you want to be left alone just close your door and lock it.  A good part of today is for you to enjoy whatever way you would like.  Stick around after 3;00 pm and visit the vendors, buy some official merchandise, the evening ends with some great entertainment.

09:00 – 09:45   Morning Yoga & Coffee

10:00 – 15:00   Trailer Open House (Public)

15:00 – 19:00   Free Time

19:00 – 19:30   Fond Farewell, a few closing words

19:30 – 23:00   Feature Entertainment

From 10:00 – 3:00 was open house today including the public.  People could pay $10 each and come in and tour any trailers that had their doors open.  They said they had 1800 people come in for the day.  So I spent most of that time giving tours of my trailer.  I shut my door about 2:15 to go visit some of the most unique trailers.  It did get warm today – 90 degrees.

At 3:00 I attended the Solar workshop.

I went back at 7:00 for the Closing and the entertainment.

Many owners and their trailers were already pulling out this evening.
