I spent the afternoon shopping. I did not buy much but I enjoyed looking. One interesting thing I saw today – M&M’s is making so many flavors these days. I saw Mexican Jalapeno M&M’s today…..no, just no!
When I planned this trip I did not realize how big San Antonio is. I knew about the Alamo and the Riverwalk. This is a biggggg city with a lot of traffic. These people are serious city drivers here and there are serious back ups on the highways.
San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the U.S. I had no idea they have a population of 1.5 million people. There is definately a strong Hispanic culture here. The population is 63% Hispanic and 26% White. I went in to several regional discount clothing stores here and they are definately targeting to the Hispanic consumer. A lot of color, pattern, glitter and sparkle. Big, sparkly inexpensive jewelry.
I got some lovely things at a Steinmart store in San Antonio last year
I spent an hour in a Steinmart here and purchased a pair of jeans that I liked. I saw many things I liked and did not need.
