Overnighted at MacNider Campground in Mason City, IA.  This is a city owned campground in the middle of a small town.  They do not take reservations.  Water & Elec for $17 per night.  They have 75 RV sites and 20 tent sites.

I walked from my camping site, over the bridge. On the other side of the bridge is a shopping, dining area that is popular. I ate at a restaurant with outdoor seating. It was lovely.
