The storm went thru in the night. I woke up at 4:00am and felt like I was sleeping on a boat. The wind continued thru the night along with the rain. By about 11:00am it was all over.
I spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful, sunny day. I walked on the beach at East Beach, strolled thru some stores in the historic district, watched birds, took a salad back to the trailer and listened to the waves while I ate my dinner and then walked on the beach again here at the RV park.

At one time pelicans became extinct on Galveston Island. I met a super lady who helped bring them back.
